The Kruzof Explorer was created from a former crab fishing vessel that was used in the Bering Strait and is now a small exploration ship that has only six passenger cabins and a living room area that serves as both a lounge and a restaurant area. None of the modern services are offered on board but only the unique atmosphere of traveling in the company of “explorers” in the internal fiords of Alaska, where cruises of various lengths are proposed. The spirit of the small fleet of Alaska Dream Cruises is that of, as much as possible, bringing guests into the local life and culture of the places visited, giving them access to nature reserves and restricted areas that would otherwise be off-limits.
