Description

With a capacity of only 100 guests, the American Eagle offers the best of cruising with sophistication, luxury and comfort. The ship's design provides access to small harbors and the ability to travel almost any river or waterway in the United States.
Spacious staterooms offer sweeping views from private balconies. For the adventurous, a swim platform at the aft of the ship offers kayaks and a tender for local exploration. The ship's color palette, furnishings and artwork reflect the culture of New England, the Chesapeake Bay and the Southeast.

I recently traveled on board the American Eagle from Boston to New York, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ship itself is well-maintained, welcoming and well-organized. The atmosphere was authentic and relaxed, with a knowledgeable and super helpful crew, plus they provided interesting information along the way, describing the various points of interest and local stories that enriched the trip. Arriving in New York by river was incredible. Seeing the city skyline emerge on the horizon was exciting, a truly unique way to enter the frenzy of Manhattan after days spent in the tranquility of the rivers and surrounding towns. In conclusion, if you are looking for an alternative way to travel between Boston and New York, that combines the comfort of a cruise with the beauty of nature and historic cities, I highly recommend the river cruise on board the American Eagle. It is a journey that allows you to slow down, relax and enjoy every moment in a profound and immersive way.
