American Queen

American Queen, which was built in 1995 is the largest steamer ever built and at 127m long and 27m wide can accommodate up to 436 guests. American Queen's aft paddlewheel is actually powered by a steam plant, but in case of emergencies and for manoeuvrability in confined areas where the paddlewheel cannot navigate, its secondary propulsion is provided by a series of diesel-electric propellers known as Z-drives.
The American Queen has a range of health and wellness facilities including a spa on the main deck, a gymnasium and a swimming pool. For dining, the ship offers formal dining in the JM White Dining Room located on the main deck and a 24-hour casual dining option called the Front Porch Cafe. There's also an outdoor bar offering grilled-style drinks and food during the summer, several entertainment venues including the Grand Saloon and a theatre. On board American Queen the menus showcase the nation's diverse cultural and culinary influences.
The entertainment is one of a kind with extraordinary live performances, theatre shows and live sets by talented musicians every evening.
