Greg Mortimer was built specifically for expeditions to the most remote places on earth. The ship features the revolutionary Ulstein X-BOW which allows the ship to cross oceans more comfortably and efficiently as it cuts through the swell so there is less vibration and disturbance and makes transits through waves faster. It accommodates an average of 132 passengers in 76 cosy and comfortable cabins which all have an ocean view and 85% have a private balcony. The ship has a modern conference room as well as multiple viewing areas, a restaurant, a gymnasium and spa, hot tubs, a mudroom and many other facilities.
It provides a wide range of additional activities, from kayaking and diving to rock climbing and ski touring. Greg Mortimer is designed to support these activities, making the transition from ship to sea or shore as smooth as possible. In addition, Greg Mortimer is powered by low energy consumption, high fuel efficiency and an aerodynamic design to provide reduced emissions. The vessel can also use virtual anchoring to maintain its position using a combination of GPS, technology, propellers and thrusters. This protects the seabed and minimises damage caused by conventional anchors.

Greg Mortimer Maiden Voyage
Es ist nicht das erste Mal, dass ich in der Antarktis war. Ich komme gerne oft zurück und wollte dieses neue AuroraExpeditions-Schiff ausprobieren. Perfektes Schiff, exzellenter Service, gut geplante Ausflüge.
