Napoleon sails the Rhone between Arles and Tain l'Hermitage/Tournon. It was built in 1963 as a Belgian cargo barge for the transport of goods before being converted into a "hotel" barge in 1990. Napoleon can accommodate 12 passengers in its 6 cabins, each cabin has a TV and DVD player, hairdryer, closet and chest of drawers.
Common areas include a lounge with a piano, Bose iPod docking station and a small DVD player, dining area and a sun deck with loungers and a hot tub. A large canopy on part of the deck provides a shaded dining area and covers some of the loungers. The six-person crew consists of a pilot, stewardess, chef, sailors, and tour guide.
