On July 8, Explora I will be christened in Civitavecchia, marking the official launch of Explora Journeys, the luxury brand of MSC Cruises.
A new ship, for a new company that has been announcing big news and growing interest in the cruise environment for many months now. But what can we really expect from Explora Journeys and what are the main features that make it different from what is already on the market?
There are many aspects, both in the structure of the ships themselves, the itineraries and, above all, the philosophy. A cruise concept that, from the very beginning, has shown the desire to be clearly differentiated from the main brand, MSC Cruises. Explora Journeys was also born as a different product from MSC Yacht Club itself, designed to create a luxury ship within a larger ship, equipped with amenities and services dedicated to larger guests.
The originality of Explora Journeys lies in a completely different ship and cruise concept. The fleet will consist of a series of almost twin units, with a small size, around 500 guests, to create a perfectly pleasant and comfortable environment. A modern design that is both elegant and open to the sea, with large, relaxing spaces, provides the ideal structure for enjoying a voyage that is intended to be much more than a cruise.
