S.A.L.T.: Silversea introduces its itineraries to the table


Silversea Cruises is offering an unprecedented food and wine cultural and catering programme on board the latest ships in its fleet.

It’s called S.A.L.T., which stands for Sea and Land Taste. But that’s not all. I would also add knowledge, discovery, culture and passion as well as taste. The luxury airline has really developed a completely new catering philosophy that goes far beyond eating well.

On board Silversea’s ships, from the recent Silver Moon onwards, the cruise becomes a genuine itinerary through the most authentic traditions of the places visited, where the values of the cuisine, the best culture revolving around food and the marvellous wine production are highlighted.

The wines are exclusively locally produced and are the perfect complement to what is not so much a dinner as a journey through different countries and cultures.

In addition to the restaurant, which is open every day, free of charge and without reservation, there are other services linked to the programme. The S.A.L.T. Bar, right outside the restaurant itself, is not only the ideal place to wait to eat, but a veritable little gem. An experienced barman will prepare your favourite cocktail using exclusive ingredients in full view, from which you can choose freely or be recommended.

Finally, the S.A.L.T. Lab is where you can learn from experts how to reproduce with your own hands those dishes typical of the places you visit in order to learn new ingredients, new combinations of flavours and to further your knowledge and travel experience.
