A-Rosa: Innovations in the Field of Entertainment

A-Rosa River Cruises introduces innovations in the field of entertainment by creating its own department at its headquarters in Rostock, Germany, with a team of four people who will be responsible for the continuous development of all on-board entertainment.

The new department will manage both daytime and evening entertainment programs, themed cruises, and offerings for children, a key strategic priority for the future of the river cruise company. A-Rosa now stands out as the first river cruise company to create its own entertainment department rather than relying on third parties. This allows the operator to directly control the quality of on-board entertainment, capture new trends, and advance successful concepts.

A-Rosa ships feature proper stages where artists can perform, DJ booths, and special lighting options, setting them apart from the industry standard. Expanding the guest artist offerings is a key goal for the future of the company, and Fadi Gaziri will be responsible for creating and managing this entertainment network for A-Rosa.

Fadi, a Briton based in Hamburg, has secured numerous contracts with artists through his work at AIDA and TUI Cruises and through his work as an audio branding expert. Fadi’s extensive experience and network in the industry enable him to attract high-quality artists, many of whom have never performed on a river cruise. The portfolio of artists performing on board includes not only pop, jazz, folk, and rock singers but also musical theater names, including international artists from shows such as The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Musicians such as trumpeter Francoise Berody, violinist Tamas Seres, and the “Grandcelli Duo,” a pair of cellists, will also perform alongside tribute bands paying homage to Elvis, Elton John, and Billy Joel. Additionally, as part of its commitment to encouraging emerging generations, A-Rosa will support young artists by inviting up-and-coming singer-songwriters to perform their songs in the intimate atmosphere of the A-Rosa Lounge.

The entertainment department will not only handle musical performances on board but also manage cabaret shows, magicians, comedians, and even sand painting performances by a wide range of artists, some already appreciated by A-Rosa guests. The new department will also manage the extensive program of themed cruises dedicated to meditation, photography, dance, healthy eating, and yoga. On A-Rosa ships, the entire program will be overseen by an entertainment presenter who will be responsible for the smooth running of the daily schedule!
