AIDA: sponsor of the Rostock Seawolves
AIDA Cruises recently announced the renewal of their sponsorship of the ROSTOCK SEAWOLVES basketball club for the third season, continuing their two-year status as a Platinum Sponsor.
The collaboration is centered around organizing joint activities aboard the AIDAmar at the port of Rostock-Warnemünde, promoting team spirit that boosts the entire region. AIDA Cruises congratulated the ROSTOCK SEAWOLVES on maintaining their league status and looks forward to enjoying the upcoming season in the German Basketball Bundesliga.
From August 10 to 17, 2024, during the “Scandinavian Highlights from Kiel” cruise on AIDAnova, a SEAWOLVES basketball camp will be held for the first time for children aged 10 to 12. Svante Schmundt, a Bundesliga professional, will be the guest coach, and along with other experts from the ROSTOCK SEAWOLVES, will guide the participants in this new training experience. Activities will range from climbing in the garden, team building, to movie nights and cooking lessons. Naturally, there will be a focus on shooting technique, speed, and basketball tactics. The SEAWOLVES Basketball Camp will cost €300 per person in addition to the cruise price.
SEAWOLVES fever has also spread aboard AIDA ships, with the crew donning the distinctive “wolves” jerseys and the colorful AIDA logo. 2,500 AIDA employees cheered for the SEAWOLVES, and at every home game, there was a kiss stop in the lobby and the “Kiss Cam,” presented by AIDA in the StadtHalle Rostock.
Numerous examples of the partnership between the two companies include the “Basketball Goes to School” project, the SEAWOLVES Academy, the AIDA Student League, and the fitness and health project “FIT LIKE A WOLF” for perfect work-life balance.
The ROSTOCK SEAWOLVES players enjoyed a stay aboard the AIDAmar, welcomed by Captain Marc-Dominique Tidow on deck, and experienced the AIDA atmosphere during a ship tour. The highlight was the basketball game with the crew and AIDA’s land employees, where the professionals demonstrated tricks for the perfect shot.
