Costa Cruises and Neos: Renewed Agreement

Costa Cruises and Neos, the Italian airline part of Alpitour World, have announced the renewal of their three-year collaboration, with a significant increase in the availability of air seats for Costa cruise customers.

This new agreement, covering the period from 2024 to 2027, includes a 30% increase in seats reserved for Costa customers on Neos special flights, bringing the total to 263,000 seats available to reach Costa cruise embarkation ports in the Caribbean, United Arab Emirates, Northern Europe, and Greece.

The flights will depart from the airports of Milan Malpensa, Verona, Bologna, Rome Fiumicino, and Catania, with additional stops at other regional airports, ensuring greater accessibility and comfort.

This collaboration will allow guests to purchase “flight + cruise” packages, making it easier to access various cruise destinations. Starting next winter, it will be even simpler to reach the Costa Fortuna and Costa Fascinosa ships to explore the wonderful Caribbean islands, or sail on the Costa Smeralda for a cruise among the ancient traditions and modern cities of the Emirates, Oman, and Qatar. In the summer, it will be easy to fly to Athens to board the Costa Fortuna, dedicated to cruises in Greece and Turkey, or to explore the magnificent landscapes of Northern Europe with cruises in the Norwegian fjords, Greenland, Iceland, North Cape, Spitzbergen islands, and Scotland.

The agreement between Neos and Costa Cruises offers numerous advantages for their customers, including flexible schedules, superior quality, and comfort. Guests can check their luggage at the departure airport and find it directly in their cabin on board the ship. Upon return from the Caribbean and Northern Europe, it will be possible to check their luggage already on board the ship and obtain boarding passes for the return flight. On long-haul flights, in addition to Economy seats, Premium class seats will also be available, offering greater comfort and entertainment options, with more spacious seats, individual entertainment systems, and a menu inspired by the finest Italian tradition.

Daniel Caprile, Vice President Pricing & Revenue Management, Itinerary & Transportation of Costa Cruises, stated that the agreement with Neos, a partner with whom they have been collaborating for nearly 20 years, confirms their commitment to providing their customers with the best possible vacation experience. He explained that, thanks to this partnership, they will have a wide range of airports from which to depart, making even distant destinations from Italy more accessible, relying on highly personalized services. The renewal of this partnership reinforces their commitment to further supporting the growth of the Italian market.

Aldo Sarnataro, Commercial Director of Neos, added that their company is very satisfied with this important collaboration. He explained that working with Costa Cruises allows them to collaborate with a significant strategic and commercial partner for both Neos and AlpitourWorld. Sarnataro stated that this collaboration is the result of excellent performances and a virtuous path together, which has allowed the business of both companies to grow and to build development plans for a better design of Neos’ air capacity in service of Costa’s ship itineraries.

This partnership represents a significant step towards offering increasingly tailored and personalized services for travelers, further strengthening the position of Costa Cruises and Neos within the large cruise market.
