Crystal: New Wellness Treatments at Sea

Crystal Cruises launches two special wellness voyages, offering guests a vacation dedicated to self-discovery and relaxation.

From December 1 to 14 and December 14 to 23, 2024, the elegant Crystal Symphony will host industry experts with specialized programs in healthy aging, functional nutrition, fitness, mental wellness, and body and mind detoxification.

Dalila Roglieri, Crystal’s chief nutritionist, expressed her excitement about offering guests new wellness retreats at sea, expertly curated in collaboration with some of the best in the health and wellness sector. She emphasized how important it is for the company to align its offerings with the evolving tastes and needs of discerning travelers, as wellness is at the forefront of many guests’ lives.

The first cruise will depart from Barcelona on December 1, with stops in Gibraltar, Morocco, the Canary Islands, and Cape Verde. This 14-night journey features an itinerary designed in collaboration with expert nutritionists, yoga specialists, meditation and sports experts, and renowned authors and scientists. The offerings will include delicious plant-based dishes specially curated by Crystal’s culinary team, the opportunity to follow a daily meal plan for fat reduction, fitness classes, yoga and meditation workshops, pickleball clinics, dance lessons, and lectures from renowned speakers.

The second Wellness journey will run from December 14 to 23, 2024, from Tema (Ghana) to Cape Town (South Africa). This eight-night trip includes a stop in Namibia. Guests will be offered interesting and healthy excursions such as pickleball, paddle, or golf matches in scenic environments and renowned clubs, nature walks, kayaking, cooking classes, and aloe vera workshops.

Numerous special guests and wellness experts will be present, including:

– Minna McHale: Personal trainer, yoga teacher, and movement and mobility instructor who has helped top companies achieve their goals in Finland, Malaysia, and Australia.

– Jenni Demus: Yoga specialist and mental health expert who helps organizations promote better mental health and wellness. After completing two teacher training courses (Ashtanga and Hatha yoga), she authored the self-compassion guide “30 Steps to Inner Power.”

– Dalila Roglieri: Nutritionist specializing in Dietetics, Clinical, and Sports Nutrition. Her passion for healthy food combined with gastronomy has enabled her to collaborate with many chefs worldwide and with famous food companies on international healthy eating projects. Among the most notable are Kellogg’s, Danone, Yakult, and Crystal.
– Christine Houghton: Globally recognized nutritionist with a PhD in Nutrigenomics and a degree in Biochemistry. Her book “Switched On – Embracing the Science of Nutrigenomic Medicine,” now in its third edition, has introduced consumers and medical professionals to this revolutionary approach to nutrition science.

These Crystal Wellness cruises will focus on two main highlights: nutrition and health. For nutrition, there will be whole food plant-based culinary menus developed by Crystal’s team in collaboration with Dalila Roglieri, and fresh vegetable teas and smoothies served in Suites for detox days.

On the health side, there will be fitness programs (ranging from strength and mobility training to spinning, postural workouts, aerobics, walking sessions, golf lessons, pickleball classes, and dance lessons like rumba, salsa, merengue, and tango), daily yoga routines, and mind exercise programs (bridge and painting lessons). There will also be custom beauty and health services at the Aurōra Spa, including acupuncture, aromatherapy, water meditation, and cryogenic facial treatments.
