Dream Yacht Launches a New Hybrid Monohull

Dream Yacht announces a major innovation in the nautical industry with the introduction of the new hybrid-electric monohull “Island Cruising Concept” into its fleet, designed by the renowned manufacturer Beneteau.

This cutting-edge vessel, which combines sustainability, modernity, and comfort, marks another step forward in eco-responsible navigation, offering cruise enthusiasts a luxurious experience while fully respecting the environment. Developed as a result of an in-depth study conducted by Beneteau to analyze the habits of boaters, the “Island Cruising Concept” features a hybrid-electric propulsion system, allowing for zero-emission sailing over long periods. Thanks to high-performance solar panels, which cover 30% to 50% of energy needs, the yacht offers an autonomy of 2 hours and 30 minutes at 7 knots in fully electric mode. An advanced energy management system optimizes resource usage, while a backup generator ensures extended autonomy of up to 250 nautical miles at the same speed.

This innovative hybrid system reflects Beneteau and Dream Yacht’s commitment to sustainability, enabling guests to reduce their environmental impact without compromising optimal comfort at sea.

The Island Cruising Concept stands out for its innovative hull design, known as “mono-maran”, which combines the advantages of a monohull at the front and a catamaran at the rear. This unique design enhances energy efficiency and features a shallow draft of just 0.85 meters, allowing access to navigation areas and beaches that are often unreachable by traditional boats.

The spacious and bright living areas on board offer a 360° panoramic view, an outdoor kitchen, a dining area, and comfortable seating for relaxation. Additionally, foldable platforms at the stern and sides further expand the available space and provide easy water access, making swimming and water activities even more enjoyable.

Equipped with four comfortable cabins, each with a private bathroom, as well as a dedicated crew cabin, the Island Cruising Concept can accommodate up to eight passengers in a luxurious and relaxing setting. Guests will also benefit from a silent navigation experience, with reduced vibrations and rolling, evoking the tranquility of a sailing yacht.

Available for charter from January 2025, the Island Cruising Concept will offer travelers the opportunity to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the British Virgin Islands, a destination famous for its crystal-clear waters and paradisiacal beaches, perfectly showcasing the advantages of this new hybrid yacht.

Loïc Bonnet, President and Founder of Dream Yacht, expressed his pride in the partnership with Beneteau, emphasizing that Dream Yacht’s selection to introduce the Island Cruising Concept hybrid monohull represents a significant recognition. Bonnet also reiterated the company’s commitment to environmental preservation, highlighting how this collaboration allows them to offer customers a more sustainable and comfortable sailing experience.

With the Island Cruising Concept, Dream Yacht and Beneteau are redefining the standards of modern cruising. This new vessel, blending cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and exceptional comfort, represents the future of the nautical industry and lays the foundation for more responsible maritime tourism. Cruise enthusiasts now have yet another reason to choose Dream Yacht for their next adventure at sea.
