Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Strengthens Sales Team

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has recently strengthened its commercial structure to respond to the growing demand for exclusive, tailor-made travel. Starting from November 1, the sales team has been enhanced with new strategic roles, aimed at boosting activities in both German-speaking markets and international markets.

Lina Kruse has been appointed Head of Sales to lead sales activities in the German, Austrian, and Swiss markets (DACH). With a strong collaborative spirit and extensive experience in the industry, Lina will focus on optimizing relationships with local partners and addressing the specific needs of travel agencies. Key objectives include increasing activities across all B2B channels, more targeted promotional campaigns, and greater brand visibility within travel agencies. Another crucial step will be the creation of strategic marketing plans and the training of agents through onboard visits and familiarization trips.

On the international front, Jan Viebrock joins as Senior International Sales Manager, bringing his global expertise in the tourism sector. His role will be to develop activities in foreign markets, particularly in non-German-speaking countries such as Benelux, the United Kingdom, North America, and several Scandinavian nations. Under his leadership, the team will focus on expanding operations in these key markets, further growing the offerings and opportunities in these territories.

Additionally, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has introduced two new regional sales managers: Lisa Völlmert, responsible for the southern region, and Fabian Knemeyer, covering the western region. Both are eager to work closely with partners, building strong, long-lasting relationships to effectively support business development. Completing this team of experts, Sarah Hartmann-Kruse has joined Hapag-Lloyd Cruises as Key Account Manager. Along with Anna Naguschewski, Sarah will strengthen support for chain and cooperative partners in the DACH market, contributing to the strategic growth of the brand.

Clas Eckholt, Vice President Commercial of TUI Cruises, emphasized that the new strategic structure and team expansion will allow Hapag-Lloyd Cruises to more effectively address customers’ specific needs, reinforce support for travel agencies, and meet the growing demand for customized luxury travel.

With these new appointments and a renewed commercial strategy, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is ready to further solidify its leadership role in the luxury cruise industry, continuing to offer unique, tailor-made experiences for the most discerning travelers.
