Jonathan Davies, recently promoted to Head of Sales with immediate effect, will work closely with Nick Hughes, Director of Sales, Partnerships, and Strategic Growth. Davies will be responsible for overseeing a sales team consisting of four members, including National Key Account Manager Wendi Hardy and Sales Managers Lewis Quigley, William Young, and Danny Joel.
Davies, who has been with the company for over two and a half years, has played a crucial role in the company’s growth through the strategic management of commercial partnerships. The new Head of Sales is excited about his promotion and eager to work more closely with Hughes in the coming months. For his part, Hughes fully trusts Davies’ abilities, recognizing his commercial skills, innate leadership, and the meaningful relationships that have become valuable assets for the company over time.
Davies’ promotion has also led to a restructuring of the existing sales team. Instead of focusing solely on geographic regions, each team member will now concentrate on strategic accounts across the UK, ensuring consistent and coherent contact with agents.
In addition to these changes, Scenic and Emerald Cruises have planned further investments, including an expanded training program and new hires, which will be in place by 2025. This year, Hughes states, the company has invested significantly in strengthening collaboration with commercial partners, giving them confidence in consolidating their position as leaders for UK travel agencies by offering a top-tier sales team along with the best deals, support, and training for partner agents and tour operators.
