Scenic: Investments in the Commercial Sector

The Scenic Group has embarked on a targeted investment strategy aimed at enhancing its commercial program to support travel agent partners and drive consistent sales growth ahead of peak activity periods.

Among the initiatives undertaken, a standout is the new collaboration with the prestigious Online Travel Training (OTT) program and a recruitment campaign designed to expand the team responsible for sales and partnerships. Through the partnership with OTT, agents will have access to a wide range of training modules designed to deepen their knowledge of Scenic Group’s brands – Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises – and to explore in detail the features of their luxurious yacht fleets, onboard services, itineraries, shore tours, and excursions. The program will also introduce new offerings for the 2025/2026 seasons.

The OTT course is already active, offering agents the opportunity to complete five training modules, each dedicated to a distinctive aspect of Scenic Group’s brands. The series begins with Scenic Truly All-Inclusive River Cruises, which explores Scenic’s all-inclusive river cruise experiences, and continues with Emerald Cruises River Cruises, highlighting the award-winning river cruises by Emerald Cruises. There are also dedicated modules focused on yacht luxury with Emerald Cruises Luxury Yacht Cruises and the groundbreaking Scenic Eclipse: The World’s First Discovery Yachts. Finally, for adventure enthusiasts, the Scenic Eclipse Expedition Voyages module concentrates on Scenic Eclipse’s expedition journeys.

To incentivize participation, Scenic Group has reserved an exclusive reward: the first 50 agents who complete any of the training modules and pass the final quiz will receive a branded backpack from Scenic or Emerald Cruises. To claim the prize, agents simply need to send proof of completion to agencysales@scenic.co.uk.

Alongside the launch of the new training program, Scenic Group has announced the expansion of its sales and partnerships team with the creation of three new positions currently open: a Sales Manager, a Key Account Manager, and a Senior Charter Operations Executive. These roles have been designed to drive sales growth and support the development of innovative products.

Nick Hughes, Director of Sales, Partnerships, and Strategic Growth, emphasized the importance of ensuring agent partners are well-prepared for peak seasons and the crucial WAVE period, anticipated to be particularly dynamic for sales. Hughes highlighted how investments in training and team expansion align with a broader strategy already bolstered by successful incentives and prestigious accolades. He also pointed to impactful television campaigns, including the featuring of Emerald Azzurra on ITV’s “Judi Love’s Culinary Cruise” and Scenic Eclipse on Channel 5’s “Cruising with Susan Calman.” These initiatives, he added, equip commercial partners with the tools to build confidence, expertise, and specialization, enabling them to maximize the potential of Scenic Group’s award-winning brands and deliver outstanding service to clients.

With these initiatives, Scenic Group reaffirms its commitment to supporting agent partners by providing them with tangible tools to successfully navigate market challenges. This further solidifies its position as a leader in the luxury cruise sector, dedicated to excellence and innovation.
