Silversea and Les Roches: A Unique Partnership
A first group of officially enrolled candidates embarks on the journey to earn a postgraduate diploma in Cruise Line Management.
This innovative teaching method is made possible through the collaboration between Les Roches, one of the world’s leading institutions for hospitality and leisure management education, and Silversea, the leading brand in luxury travel and exploration.
Among those present at Les Roches in Marbella to congratulate and welcome the new students were Carlos Diez de la Lastra Buiges, CEO of Les Roches Global, and Heidi Wenger, Senior Director of Human Resources and Recruitment at Silversea. This program, described as “empowering for communities and inspiring for future generations,” stands out for being innovative and one-of-a-kind, and it is part of the Royal Caribbean Group’s SEA the Future initiative.

The collaboration between Les Roches and Silversea will allow students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to manage various areas on board cruise ships, including marketing, revenue management, and other commercial functions related to the cruise industry.
The postgraduate diploma in Cruise Line Management offers learning focused on practical and managerial aspects—a distinctive feature of Les Roches—as well as an immersion guided by Silversea. Upon completing the course, graduates will have the opportunity to secure employment with Silversea.
The global reputation of Les Roches and Silversea will ensure students receive significant recognition, enhancing their job prospects within the cruise industry, particularly in the luxury segment, after completing a high-quality educational path.
Silversea
During the first semester, students will follow a program focused on cruise operations, luxury guest experience development, learning luxury hospitality, food and beverage management on board, sales and revenue, and maritime law. After completing this initial part of the program, students may choose to further deepen their industry knowledge with an immersion period at Silversea.
