Tomaszewski: An Exclusive Collection for HL Cruises

The renowned fashion designer Dawid Tomaszewski will create a new and exclusive collection for the MS EUROPA 2, the luxury ship of the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises fleet.

The announcement was made during the inauguration of the special exhibition “EXCESS IN ELEGANCE: Dawid Tomaszewski – a decade and a half,” at the Museum of Applied Arts in Berlin. The exhibition, which will remain open until early October, celebrates the designer’s 15-year career, showcasing around 70 looks ranging from his early designs to his current masterpieces.

During the inauguration, Dawid Tomaszewski stated that passion and dedication have been the hallmarks of his work for over 15 years, qualities that closely bind the designer to Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. Following the success of the Cruise Capsule Collection “Côte de Beauté” last year, Tomaszewski is excited to present his new DAWID CRUISE COUTURE and design another exclusive collection for the MS EUROPA 2.

From September 22 to 30, 2025, the MS EUROPA 2 will transform into a floating runway during the established themed voyage “fashion2sea.” The cruise, departing from and returning to Piraeus (Athens), will take guests through the enchanting coasts of the Aegean, including stops in Santorini, Crete, Naxos, Mykonos, Bodrum, Paros, and Hydra. During the voyage, Tomaszewski will present the exclusive collection “Allure Aphrodite: Exclusive Collection by DAWID CRUISE COUTURE” with a dance performance on the ship’s pool deck.

Susanna Kitzl, Artistic Director of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, commented on this renewed collaboration with Dawid Tomaszewski, stating that the designer perfectly embodies their values. Dawid’s vision harmonizes incomparably with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. It is a privilege, Kitzl concludes, to offer their guests an exclusive collection that they won’t find in stores but only aboard the MS EUROPA 2.

The collection, consisting of 30 creations, is a fusion of luxury and nobility. Each piece, crafted from exquisite materials and intricate embroidery, will be produced in Europe and finished in the designer’s atelier in Berlin, making each piece a rarity. After the fashion show, guests can purchase their favorite pieces and personally meet the designer. A pop-up boutique, curated by the Fashion Council Germany, will also offer selected accessories from other prestigious German brands.

In addition to fashion, the onboard program includes personal styling and beauty consultations with renowned stylists, offering guests individual advice and industry tips. The “fashion2sea 2025” voyage thus offers a perfect combination of sunny beaches, culture, and lifestyle, promising a unique experience for fashion enthusiasts.
