Windstar: a New Look for the Wind Surf
Windstar Cruises has recently completed a major renovation phase of its flagship vessel, the Wind Surf, which now sails the Caribbean with a completely refreshed look.
The transformation, carried out at the Navantia shipyard in Cádiz, Spain, involved both the suites and public areas, aiming to provide passengers with an even more refined and modern onboard experience.
One of the most noticeable changes concerns the main hall and the reception area, now redesigned to welcome guests in a more elegant and inviting environment. The sophisticated Yacht Club Café has also been updated with new furnishings that help create a more relaxing and refined atmosphere.

2. Compass Rose Bar
The Compass Rose Bar and Lounge, a central gathering spot for all passengers, has been completely refurbished with a contemporary design that makes it even more inviting. The renovations also extended to the Amphora restaurant and the Wine Room, where guests can enjoy an outstanding culinary experience in a renewed and meticulously detailed setting.
A makeover of the pool area was also a must, with the Pool Bar & Deck transformed to offer an even more scenic and atmospheric setting. The onboard boutique, the Star Boutique, has also benefited from a new layout that enhances the shopping experience while cruising.
Even the public restrooms have been revamped to ensure greater comfort and modernity. Completing the overall modernization, all cabins are now equipped with state-of-the-art televisions and new technological solutions to enhance guests’ onboard experience.

One of the most exciting additions is the introduction of new suites inspired by the luxurious resorts affiliated with the Windstar brand. The Broadmoor Suite, for instance, is inspired by the prestigious The Broadmoor resort in Colorado and features a traditional design characterized by classic furniture, floral patterns, expansive moldings, and gold details. The walls are adorned with custom wallpaper, an exact replica of that used in the Main Building of the resort.
The Sea Island Suite, on the other hand, draws inspiration from the elegance of the Sea Island Resort in Georgia, standing out for its airy and bright ambiance, featuring aquamarine tones, curved arches, and sophisticated light wood furnishings.
The Owner’s Suite has also been fully renovated with a new design that embraces a distinctly nautical style, making it even more exclusive for its guests.

6. Officer’s Suite
This extensive renovation project is not stopping here. Windstar Cruises has already planned a second phase of upgrades to be completed by December 2026. In this next stage, all cabins on the Wind Surf will receive new furnishings, fabrics, and decorations for an additional touch of luxury. Furthermore, Stella Bistro, Veranda, and the fitness studio will also be updated, ensuring a continuous improvement of the onboard experience.
The entire initiative is part of a multi-year project involving all three Wind-class sailing yachts of Windstar Cruises: Wind Surf, Wind Star, and Wind Spirit. The goal is to elevate these vessels to a new level of excellence, offering passengers an even more comfortable and sophisticated journey.
With these renovations, the Wind Surf reaffirms itself as one of the most captivating ships in the fleet, seamlessly blending the charm of sailing with the comforts of a luxury floating resort.
