Fincantieri to Build the Third Ship in the Crystal Fleet
Fincantieri, a leader in the construction of cruise and military vessels, and Crystal, a renowned cruise line known for creating exclusive and luxurious experiences, have announced the finalization of a new order for the construction of a third high-end cruise ship.
This agreement was made possible through the option exercised within the contracts signed on June 27 for two sister ships. The value of the deal, subject to financing and specific terms, falls within a significant economic range for Fincantieri, estimated between 500 million and 1 billion euros.
The new vessel will stand out with a gross tonnage of 61,800 tons and a capacity of approximately 690 passengers, adhering to the high standards set by its two sister ships. Interiors, designed by renowned international architectural firms, will feature premium materials and high-level craftsmanship, meeting the demand for a sophisticated and refined ambiance. Accommodations will exclusively offer suites, each with a private balcony for complete privacy, including a selection of single-occupancy cabins to cater to solo travelers—an increasingly popular choice in the industry. Crystal’s commitment to luxury service is reflected in one of the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in the segment, ensuring highly personalized assistance and impeccable attention to detail for each guest.
The ship will thus offer a travel experience without compromise, in line with Crystal’s philosophy of delivering luxury service that exceeds expectations. Every detail of the accommodations is designed to ensure maximum comfort, with spacious suites and private balconies that provide guests with a serene, private oasis. Onboard, guests will enjoy meticulously curated entertainment, including shows, cultural activities, and top-tier culinary offerings designed to satisfy even the most discerning travelers. Additionally, through its close partnership with Abercrombie & Kent, a world leader in luxury tourism, Crystal continues to offer a program of exclusive excursions. These experiences, thoughtfully crafted and guided by local experts, will allow guests to explore destinations in a unique and immersive way, with privileged access to hard-to-reach sites and cultural experiences. With one of the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in the industry, Crystal ensures highly personalized assistance, as each staff member is trained to anticipate guest needs, offering attentive yet discreet service that makes every Crystal cruise a memorable and genuinely exclusive experience.
