New logo and website for Murray River Paddlesteamers

Murray River Paddlesteamers has revitalized its brand, unveiling a new logo and updating its website in anticipation of the launch of Australia’s first five-star riverboat.

The company drew inspiration from the gentle ripples and currents of the Murray River to reflect the serenity of onboard journeys in the creation of the new logo.  The revamped website replaces the previous portal and showcases the company’s multi-day trips aboard the current vessel PS Emmylou, the upcoming five-star riverboat PS Australian Star set to replace Emmylou from 2025, and daily excursions on the historic paddle steamer PS Canberra.

Craig Burgess, the director of Murray River Paddlesteamers, stated that the new brand image signifies a milestone and an exciting evolution for the company. “The highly anticipated launch of the Australian Star in April 2025, as the first five-star riverboat in Australia, reaffirms their steadfast commitment to providing high-level experiences on the iconic Murray River“.

Burgess highlighted that the new logo reflects their continuous dedication to luxury, invoking a sense of time travel for their guests. Embarking on their journeys means engaging in an immersive and tranquil passage through history, enveloped in captivating narratives of a bygone era, and the new logo and appearance perfectly celebrate this experience.

The Australian Star, a 38-guest vessel currently under construction, will succeed the PS Emmylou and offer year-round cruises up to seven days on the Murray River starting from April 2025, departing from Echuca.

Australian Star will be the first five-star river cruise product in Australia, the largest paddle steamer in the southern hemisphere, and the world’s only five-star paddle steamer powered by wood.
