Silversea: Summer 2026 in French Polynesia

Silversea has announced its inaugural summer season in French Polynesia with 17 voyages scheduled between April and September 2026 aboard the Silver Whisper, the most luxurious ship to sail in the region, offering a profound immersion into 11 of the world’s most remote destinations across three of the region’s five archipelagos: the Society, Tuamotu, and the Marquesas.

“The rapid growth of Silversea has opened up the opportunity to provide an even deeper immersion into the world’s most enriching regions, such as French Polynesia,” stated Conrad Combrink, SVP Expeditions, Destination and Itinerary Management at Silversea. “There is no better way to experience these idyllic islands and atolls than by ship, and there is no better ship than the Silver Whisper to connect travelers meaningfully with each destination.”

French Polynesia, with 118 islands and atolls, combines natural beauty, incredible wildlife, and unique cultural connections. The new collection of Silver Whisper voyages will offer the most enriching experiences available in the South Pacific, allowing curious travelers to embrace the mana culture and form authentic connections with local communities, thanks to extended stops and overnight stays scheduled during the seven- and 14-day departures.

From April 6, 2026, Silver Whisper will embark on 17 voyages in French Polynesia from Papeete, Tahiti, exploring the best islands and atolls and providing engaging experiences due to the research and exploration efforts conducted by Silversea‘s destination experts to offer the best guest experience. Travelers can choose between seven- or 14-night itineraries, both fostering significant connections with the destination:

SEVEN DAYS IN THE SOCIETY ISLANDS

Suited for those preferring a shorter itinerary, this journey will see Silver Whisper navigate among the most iconic destinations of the Society Islands. Formed by volcanoes and rich in beautiful coral reefs, these islands feature imposing mountains and white-sand atolls. During this trip, three extended stops will give guests ample time to explore Papeete, Moorea, and Huahine, allowing them to connect with the rich Polynesian culture, captivating local traditions, and the 3,000-year history of the region. Raiatea and Bora Bora will have two overnight stays for in-depth exploration. Accompanied by an expert guide on a traditional boat in Bora Bora, guests will learn about the significant role of storytelling in local culture and how early navigators used stars to navigate the Pacific Ocean. In Huahine, travelers can take part in a cultural nature walk to discover archaeological sites in the village of Maeva, admiring tropical plants and stunning treetop views of the coast. In Moorea, Bora Bora, and Huahine, guests can snorkel in crystal-clear waters for a chance to encounter hundreds of fish and corals. Guests will also have the opportunity to relax on a private island or motu, enjoying a traditional barbecue and local music.

14 DAYS: THE SOCIETY, TUAMOTU, AND THE MARQUESAS

Guests seeking a longer and more comprehensive experience can opt for the 14-day journey aboard Silver Whisper, combining the best aspects of the great diversity of French Polynesia. The iconic mountainous terrain of the Society Islands contrasts with the remote atolls of the Tuamotus, while the cultural offerings and interactions with the community of the Marquesas Islands, one of the world’s most remote archipelagos, provide another element of enrichment. Departing from Papeete, Tahiti, guests will explore Moorea, Raiatea with an overnight stay, Fakarava, Nuku Hiva, Fatu Hiva, Atuona, Tahuata, Rangiroa, and Bora Bora before returning to Papeete. In addition to discovering the iconic peaks of the Society Islands and snorkeling to admire the abundant marine life of the archipelago, guests on both itineraries can spot whales, accompanied by expert guides; explore local culinary traditions in Moorea and discover Raiatea on an electric bike. As in the seven-day itinerary, guests will also have the opportunity to relax on a private island, as a standout experience.

Furthermore, a 21-day journey to Easter Island, departing from Valparaiso on March 16, and two combined trips expand the regional offerings for guests.

Silver Whisper, set to become the most luxurious ship to sail in the region, will be the most spacious ship in French Polynesia and will welcome travelers in the largest accommodations. It will also offer the most personalized service, with a crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1.3 and a butler service for each suite, making it the only ship in French Polynesia to provide this advantage to every guest. Four dining venues and six bars and lounges will enhance the luxury offering, while Silversea’s comprehensive all-inclusive package and door-to-door service will provide a unique experience for the entire journey, allowing guests to focus solely on the travel and destinations.
