The Curious and the Sea: the 140 days World Cruise
Silversea Cruises has opened an exclusive pre-sale on a 140-day World Cruise for 2026, named ‘The Curious and the Sea,’ which will visit more destinations than any voyage in the company’s history, 70 destinations in 37 countries. Guests will embark Silver Dawn, one of the most luxurious ships at sea, in Fort Lauderdale on January 6, 2026.
‘The Curious and the Sea’ will connect travellers with the rich history of navigation, channeling the same spirit of discovery that has driven exploration throughout the ages. Guests will follow ancient trade routes, sailing the waters that connected the Silk Road, and transiting both the Panama and Suez canals; they will step foot on some of the world’s most remote islands that inspired scientific progression.
The Curious and the Sea’ will be divided into nine segments.
– A TALE OF TWO OCEANS: Fort Lauderdale to Callao (Lima) – January 6-January 19
World cruising guests will unite at an exclusive Bon Voyage reception in Fort Lauderdale on the evening of January 5. Silver Dawn will call in Cozumel (Quintana Roo) and Puerto Limón (Costa Rica), before passing through the Panama Canal via Colon, arriving in Manta and Callao (Lima).
– AN EXPLORER’S PARADISE: Callao (Lima) to Papeete, Tahiti – January 19-February 7
Easter Island will welcome Silver Dawn on an overnight call on January 25. A 20-day deep dive of French Polynesia and the South Pacific follows, with all-new calls for a Silversea World Cruise in Nuku Hiva, the Marquesas Islands; Atuona, Hiva Oa, the Marquesas Islands; and Fakarava, with its UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve, in the Tuamotu Archipelago. Other highlight destinations will include iconic Bora Bora and Papeete in French Polynesia.
– TREASURE ISLANDS: Papeete, Tahiti, to Auckland – February 7-February 24
First-ever calls on a Silversea World Cruise in Tonga’s Nuku’alofa, New Caledonia’s Lifou and Noumea, and Norfolk Island will complement explorations of Aitutaki, Savusavu, Mystery Island, and Bay of Islands in New Zealand. Silversea has curated a special event on Mystery Island in Vanuatu, Dancers from various islands throughout the region will perform a unique fusion of cultural rituals, while guests dine on fresh catch of the day in a quintessential beach setting, and snorkel in some of the world’s clearest waters, which teem with marine life.
– NEW WORLD OF THE ANCIENTS: Auckland to Fremantle (Perth) – February 24-March 14
The start of a semi-circumnavigation of Australia, Silver Dawn will depart Auckland on February 24, setting course for Fremantle (Perth). This segment will take in the country’s most spectacular landscapes, with numerous opportunities to spot rare wildlife. An overnight call in Hobart (Tasmania) will precede calls in the rarely visited Phillip Island for the chance to see the penguin parade; Penneshaw (Kangaroo Island); Port Lincoln, for the Coffin Bay National Park and the Eyre Peninsula; and Busselton. Visiting Esperance for the first time on a Silversea World Cruise, travellers will be able to explore the white-sanded beaches of the Cape Le Grand National Park.
– THE CALL OF THE WIND: Fremantle (Perth) to Singapore – March 14-March 30
Calls between Fremantle (Perth) and Singapore will include Exmouth, Broome, and Darwin—taking in parts of the ancient Kimberley Coast—as well as Lembar (Lombok). From Exmouth, guests will be able to access the Ningaloo Reef for the chance to swim with whale sharks. In Benoa, Bali, on March 21, the cruise line’s guests will feast on regional cuisine alongside the stunning rice paddies of the luxury five-star resort of Tanah Gajah. Authentic Balinese performances will enrich the occasion, as travellers develop a new appreciation for Southeast Asia’s sacred grain
– ROUTES OF SILK & SPICE: Singapore to Mumbai – March 30-April 16
Guests will have the chance to deep dive into South Asia while sailing between Singapore and Mumbai, with extended stays allowing for greater exploration ashore. Overnight calls in Singapore, Cochin, and Mumbai; a late departure in Trincomalee; and calls in Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Phuket, Galle, and Colombo will unlock many of Asia’s most iconic destinations. On April 12 in Cochin, guests will journey into the city’s backwaters to the town of Alleppey for a bespoke World Cruise event. Following an exhilarating tuk-tuk ride through the urban streets, guests will be greeted with flower garlands for an afternoon of cultural immersion, comprising performances from Kerala drummers, martial artist displays, an authentic Sadhya lunch served on banana leaves, and a cruise down the Kerala River on a traditional houseboat.
– THE TIDES OF HISTORY: Mumbai to Ashdod (Jerusalem) – April 16-April 30
Silversea’s guests will head for the famous Suez Canal, taking in the ‘tides of history’ and the storied pasts of Oman, Egypt, and Jordan, before crossing into the Mediterranean. Calls in Salalah, Safaga (Luxor), and Aqaba (Petra) will provide gateways to many of the ancient world’s most iconic sights, including temples, tombs, and colossal statues. An overnight call in Safaga (Luxor) will allow the opportunity to experience Bedouin life in the desert, as well as the Valley of the Kings, the River Nile, and the impressive temples of Luxor. A rite of passage for well-heeled travellers, a Suez Canal transit leads guests to Ashdod (Jerusalem) and an exploration of the Holy Land.
– MEDITERRANEA: Ashdod (Jerusalem) to Split – April 30-May 12
Departing Jerusalem and the Holy Land, Silver Dawn will set her course for Split, and the crystal-clear waters and medieval towns of the Adriatic Sea—visited for the first time in many years on a Silversea World Cruise. After a full day in Haifa (Nazareth), guests will journey to Antalya, Turkey, on an overnight call; Rhodes, Greece; Aghios Nikolaos, Crete, for the first time on a Silversea World Cruise; Piraeus (Athens); Nafplion; Sarande, Albania; and Dubrovnik, Croatia, before arriving in Split on May 12.
– THE ORIGINS OF EXPLORATION: Split to Lisbon – May 12-May 27
An emphatic finale to Silversea’s ‘The Curious and the Sea’ World Cruise 2026, Silver Dawn will sail from Split to Lisbon between May 12 and May 27, unlocking many cultures in the Southern Mediterranean and Northern Africa that have not previously featured on a Silversea World Cruise. For the first time on one of Silversea’s global voyages, guests will explore Hvar, Kotor, Bari, Trapani (Sicily), La Goulette (Tunis), and Cartagena (Spain), as well as discovering Siracusa (Sicily), Malaga, and Cadiz.
Silversea’s guests will have the option of joining three overland tours during the voyage:
Uzbekistan – April 16-April 25
Leaving the ship in Mumbai, guests will have the chance to experience the ancient wonders of the Silk Road in Uzbekistan. They will explore the bustling bazaars of Tashkent, an historical commercial hub; Samarkand, with its characterful architecture; and the UNESCO-listed historic centre of Bukhara.
Luxor, Egypt – April 26-April 31
From Safaga, Silversea’s guests can follow in the footsteps of ancient navigators, exploring the ancient wonders of Egypt, from the temples of Luxor to the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Valley of the Kings, and the Nubian Village on a luxurious Nile cruise.
The Balkans – May 11-May14
Travellers will have the opportunity to journey overland to Belgrade, Serbia’s capital, which has been rebuilt almost 40 times throughout history. Guests will learn about the history of Yugoslavia, visiting the Museum of Yugoslav History, St. Sava Temple, and Novi Sad, the largest town in autonomous Vojvodina.
