Windstar: new cruises to Arabia season 2023/2024


Windstar Cruises has just released its new brochure detailing cruises to Arabia, the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf.

Cruise passengers will enjoy impressive UNESCO views, beautiful beaches and wildlife, top-notch golf courses, snorkeling and extraordinary diving. There will also be no shortage of excellent shopping.

Windstar Cruises‘ small ships are known for sailing to luxurious, off-the-beaten-path ports around the world. In fact, the cruises, starting in November 2023 on the Star Legend, will accommodate 312 cruise passengers, all in Suites.

18 days of “Wonders of Arabia”

The new 18-day cruises will sail from Athens to Dubai, transiting along the Suez Canal and spending five days in Egypt and Jordan, including an overnight stay in Luxor to see the majestic temples of Karnak and Luxor, followed by two days in Oman.

10 Days “Sparkling Sands & Cities of the Persian Gulf”

The 10-day Persian Gulf Sparkling Sands & Cities cruise will sail as many as 11 times from Dubai to Muscat, Oman (and vice versa). Highlights will include overnight stays in Doha and Abu Dhabi and a long stop in Ras Al-Khaimah; stops in interesting cities such as Fujairah or Khasab; as well as having time at Sir Bani Yas, an island known for its pristine nature and wildlife conservation.

9 days “Arabian Nights & Egyptian”

The 9-day Arabian Nights & Egyptian Days cruise will sail on two dates (one in each direction) from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Aqaba, Jordan, and vice versa. Highlights include an overnight stay in Sharm el-Sheikh and Safaga with the opportunity to visit Luxor and the chance to soak in the turquoise waters of the marinas of Ain Sokhna and Hurghada.

12 Days “Red Sea Revelries”

Through the Suez Canal, a 12-day journey from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Athens. Highlights include an overnight stay in Luxor, a subsequent night in Ain Sokhna, Egypt, with transit through the Suez Canal, and a day in Heraklion, Crete.

Windstar Cruises President Christopher Prelog explained, “Windstar is excited to introduce our guests to the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf with new itineraries to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar.” Enthusiasts of small ship cruising can indeed choose to sail aboard the line’s Wind Class sailing yachts – 148-guest Wind Star and Wind Spirit and 342-guest Wind Surf – or the newly transformed Star Plus Class suite-only yachts – 312-guest Star Breeze, 312-guest Star Pride and Wind Star, with a fine dining experience on board.
