AMAN: Steel Cutting for the New Yacht

With the steel cutting, which took place in Genoa, the construction of the luxurious motor yacht, Aman at Sea, has begun. The event was marked by the traditional ceremony at the T.Mariotti shipyard. The keel laying is expected to take place this summer, and the official name of the ship will be announced in due course.

Aman, one of the world’s most intuitive and pioneering resort, hotel, and residence brands, has dedicated over three decades to creating tranquil sanctuaries away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Now, it has ventured into the world of cruising, bringing its maritime spirit to the oceans of the world. Reflecting the same level of detail and care experienced in Aman hotels, T. Mariotti has been tasked with delivering this one-of-a-kind vessel to the highest design standards. The yacht will be ready by 2027, thanks to a joint venture with Cruise Saudi.

Aman itself is overseeing the entire project development process. Proud of the contract appointment, Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, commented: “The steel cutting represents a milestone in the development of Aman at Sea and the strategic evolution of the brand, as we continue to diversify our geographical portfolio to offer exceptional travel experiences while upholding Aman’s core values of privacy, peace, generosity of space, and unparalleled service. This is why we are collaborating with T. Mariotti to bring our pioneering vision to life, providing an entirely new category in water exploration.”

Demonstrating Aman Group’s commitment to sustainability, the vessel will be the first new build with dual fuel capability, using marine diesel and methanol, and will be 183 meters long. Designed by SINOT Yacht Architecture & Design, with 50 spacious luxury suites, each with its own private balcony, the ship will host a wide range of dining options, from casual, all-day dining to international cuisine. There will also be a serene and spacious Aman Spa, complete with a Japanese garden, two helipads, an expansive beach, and the Beach Club, offering guests direct access to the water at the aft of the yacht.
