Aman: T.Mariotti will build its first luxury ship

Aman group, a Saudi Arabian extra-luxury hospitality operator, has decided to launch into the cruise industry, and it will be the Genoese shipyard T. Mariotti that will build its first luxury ship.

The project is called Project Sama and “represents the first ultra-luxury experience in the cruise segment by Neptune Co, the joint venture between Aman group and Cruise Saudi.

“It is a privilege for us to have the opportunity to work with Aman,” says Marco Ghiglione, managing director of T. Mariotti, also adding, “This is yet another demonstration of the expertise and ability of Made in Italy to meet the desires of the world’s most demanding customers.”

The new 183-meter-long unit with a tonnage of about 23,000 tons is the first new-build dual-fuel design built by T. Mariotti.

The ship designed as an extra-luxury floating hotel will be delivered in 2026 and will have fifty suites to accommodate guests, extensive public spaces, restaurants, spa, and entertainment facilities. The design and interior will be designed by Sinot, a world-renowned yacht designer.

Dewave, responsible for luxury interior finishing, and Ortec Santamaria, for electrical systems, will also take part in this important project.

What we are not yet aware of is the name of the first unit, which will be announced later.
