Celebrity Cruises has unveiled details of what travelers will experience onboard its new ship, Celebrity Ascent, the line’s fourth Edge-class ship, which will begin sailing this November.

Onboard Celebrity Ascent, guests will enjoy the distinctive Edge Class experience, including an exterior design that maximizes views, a rich culinary and beverage program, and spacious and elegant staterooms in a wide range of accommodations for all travelers.

 “I am thrilled to introduce Celebrity Ascent to the world,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “First launched in 2018, the Edge class has transformed what cruising can be, and its ships, such as Edge, Apex and Beyond, have quickly become guest favorites.”

Celebrity Ascent will retain some of the most popular Edge Class experiences, including:

The Rooftop Garden, where guests can enjoy live music, movies, infinity pools and even al fresco dining at the Rooftop Garden Grill; the Spa, where holistic wellness is at the heart of 120 destination-inspired treatments; the Resort Deck, with a pool lined with “Cabanas”, Jacuzzis and the Solarium, a tranquil adults-only retreat; the Magic Carpet, at the edge of the ship, offering unobstructed views; the Grand Piazza and Martini Bar; and upgraded staterooms such as the Infinite Veranda and Aqua Class staterooms designed for wellness enthusiasts and more.

Most importantly, Celebrity Ascent will offer guests new food and beverage experiences, including:

A revamped Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud, debuting on Celebrity Beyond; the brand will continue its partnership with Boulud, introducing his second restaurant at sea with a redesigned space created by KTGY Simeone Deary Design Group, offering an intimate dining experience inspired by the chef’s travels.

A plant-based tasting menu at Eden Restaurant that brings guests closer to the earth through a culinary journey based on fresh, seasonal ingredients, and a never-before-seen dinner at Le Petit Chef with all-new entertainment and menu.

The Craft Social will feature high-end bourbons and new tasting seminars, while the Martini Bar will offer new creations and an expanded menu, including liche and passion fruit martinis.

Of the four complimentary main dining venues, each with a signature menu and rotating evening menus, the Cosmopolitan restaurant has been redesigned with a nod to Champagne culture, while the Blu restaurant, exclusive to AquaClass guests, will feature a 24-seat outdoor terrace for daytime dining.

Onboard Celebrity Ascent, guests will also enjoy new entertainment, art and retail experiences, including:

Nighttime entertainment, with the Resort Deck taking center stage at sunset for an outdoor celebration featuring live performances, live music and a DJ. New production shows with three new shows at The Theatre, new experiences and interactive digital shows at The Club, and exciting new shows at Eden Bar and Restaurant.

Celebrity Ascent will feature a brand new casino gaming floor with a new layout, design and state-of-the-art slot machines; a redesigned Art Gallery where guests can view priceless works of art and enjoy exclusive auctions and art events; and The Sunset Collection by Nate Berkus, a collection of chic travel and home accessories available exclusively on Celebrity Ascent.

The ship will embark on an exciting winter season in the Caribbean, taking guests to some of the most sought-after destinations, including the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico and the British Virgin Islands, before heading to Europe for a summer of Mediterranean cruising to Greece, Italy, Turkey, Spain and France.
