Crystal Cruises: The First Casino de Monte-Carlo at Sea

Crystal has unveiled the first-ever Casino de Monte-Carlo at sea, an innovative project inaugurated aboard the Crystal Symphony during an exclusive ribbon-cutting ceremony on the opening night of the Chairmen’s Cruise in Venice, Italy.

This prestigious debut is the result of a unique collaboration with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM), an internationally renowned leader in entertainment, hospitality, and gaming. Following its introduction on the Crystal Symphony, the elegant casino will also debut aboard the Crystal Serenity, departing from Fort Lauderdale on December 18. These sophisticated gaming experiences will be progressively introduced across all future ocean-going vessels in the Crystal fleet, with the exception of expedition ships.

Manfredi Lefebvre, Executive Chairman of A&K Travel Group, expressed great satisfaction with the launch of the first Casino de Monte-Carlo at sea aboard the Crystal Symphony. He highlighted the ideal partnership with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, which boasts over 160 years of excellence as a global leader in the casino industry. Lefebvre praised the shared commitment between Crystal and SBM to provide luxurious experiences designed to meet the refined tastes of international clientele, expressing optimism about the bright future for both brands.

Stéphane Valeri, President and CEO of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, conveyed his excitement about the inauguration of the first Casino de Monte-Carlo outside the Principality of Monaco. Valeri thanked Crystal for bringing this ambitious project to life, emphasizing that the exceptional cruise experience offered by Crystal, combined with Monte-Carlo’s expertise in gaming, creates a perfect synergy to strengthen their respective brands while offering unforgettable moments to guests. He also extended special thanks to the teams who made this successful collaboration possible, which will continue with the launch of the casino aboard the Crystal Serenity and future Crystal vessels.

Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, added that the reintroduction of the casino stemmed from recognizing guests’ strong interest in onboard gaming experiences. She explained that Crystal succeeded in preserving the essence of its former casino experience while enhancing it with innovative elements through the partnership with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, exceeding all expectations. Levis further emphasized that the Casino de Monte-Carlo embodies Crystal’s hallmark sophistication and attention to detail, and she eagerly anticipates feedback from travelers who are excited about this new chapter in the company’s offerings.

The new casino is situated in the space previously occupied by the Bridge Lounges on each ship. The Casino de Monte-Carlo offers passengers an unparalleled gaming experience at sea, featuring a range of options including slot machines, Blackjack, American Roulette, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Spanning over 90 square meters, the casino aboard the Crystal Symphony includes 29 slot machines and 3 live gaming tables, while the Crystal Serenity will feature 32 slot machines and 3 live gaming tables. The design of these casinos, led by SBM, faithfully reflects the aesthetic of the legendary Le Casino de Monte-Carlo. Additionally, guests will enjoy Crystal’s premium beverage offerings, including specialty cocktails and an international selection of wines, served elegantly at the Avenue Saloon.

With this prestigious new addition, Crystal further enriches its onboard luxury offerings, reaffirming its commitment to delivering exclusive and unforgettable moments to its guests.
