Crystal orders its third ship from Fincantieri

Crystal Cruises has finalized the order for the construction of a third ship, provisionally scheduled for delivery in 2032, with renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri.

Similar to its sister ships, the 61,800-gross-ton vessel, with a capacity of 690 passengers at double occupancy, will feature a range of luxurious amenities and innovative designs, ensuring guests an unparalleled experience. The new ship will be equipped with all-suite accommodations with private verandas, including a category designed specifically for solo travelers, providing total comfort for guests. The ship will also boast one of the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in this segment, delivering personalized service and meticulous attention to detail.

The ship’s interiors, developed by renowned international design studios, will showcase the finest materials and craftsmanship. A distinctive feature will be a promenade extending around the entire perimeter of the ship, reminiscent of those beloved on the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, allowing for peaceful strolls with breathtaking ocean views. Culinary enthusiasts will be delighted by a variety of dining options, offering a range of world-class cuisines, including Umi Uma, the only Nobu restaurant at sea, and Beefbar, the creation of visionary restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi, alongside dishes crafted in collaboration with famed chefs Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo. Additionally, Crystal will continue its tradition of offering exclusive entertainment, featuring the Casino de Monte-Carlo, which will debut on Crystal Symphony this month and Crystal Serenity in December.

Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Executive Chairman of A&K Travel Group, stated that exercising this option and the agreement to build a third ship reflect the trust and strength of the partnership between his family and Fincantieri, a relationship that dates back to the days of Sitmar Cruises, evolved with Silversea, and now continues in a shared vision with Crystal.

Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, added that the group is thrilled to offer guests an expanded fleet, creating new opportunities to explore the world with the exceptional service and style that have become synonymous with Crystal.

This announcement comes two years after A&K Travel Group’s acquisition of Crystal in 2022, marking a new chapter for the cruise line. Under the leadership of A&K Travel Group, Crystal has focused on enhancing onboard and onshore experiences, expanding its fleet to offer unmatched travel journeys to its guests.

Crystal Cruises thus continues to offer discerning travelers authentic, enriching, and innovative experiences both on land and at sea, an offering that will be further enhanced with the arrival of the third ship in the fleet.
