Explora I’s maiden voyage: the new date
Explora Journeys, a luxury brand part of the MSC Group, today announced an update on the maiden voyage of its first ship, Explora I. The cruise will depart from Southampton, UK, on July 17, 2023.

Michael Ungerer, Chief Executive Officer of Explora Journeys, said, “From day one, our vision and purpose has been to create a completely different sea travel experience, and to achieve this goal, we are working with one of the world’s leading shipbuilders and super yacht builders. ”
“However, taking into consideration the difficult situation facing the world today, including the complications of the global supply chain, we had to make the difficult decision, agreed upon with the shipyard, Fincantieri, to update our ship’s commissioning schedule.”

Travel consultants and their clients, as well as all guests who booked directly with the company, have already been updated on the new dates of the inaugural trip. Guests have been offered a full refund in the form of Future Journey Credit.
