Havila Voyages: the success of Havila Capella

Havila Castor, second new ship for Havila Voyages, will suffer a delay in delivery due to some supply problems encountered by the Turkish shipyard Tersan.

The very first trips scheduled for May 2022 have been canceled, but Havila Castor will still join Havila Capella for the summer season in Norway. Meanwhile, the firs unit is very successful among the public.

Ben Martini, chief executive of Havila Kystruten, said he was sorry he could not accommodate the first passengers on board during the spring, but he is enthusiastic about the response from the public in terms of bookings for the two new ships of the company.

“We get a lot of feedback from satisfied guests who appreciate the good food, large cabins and large windows on board. They allow them to experience the external environment as closely as possible. They also report good service and a ship set up in such a way as to make everyone feel at ease during the voyage ”.

There will also be a delay in the deliveries of Havila Polaris and Havila Pollux, also under construction in Turkey. The two additional units should, however, be added to the fleet by 2022 according to the company’s provisions.

Havila Voyages is a Norwegian shipping company that operates the greenest ships sailing the coast, on the classic coastal route between Bergen and Kirkenes.
