Intercruises: new Nat Geo tours for the cruise world

National Geographic Expeditions and Intercruises unveiled new 48 unique and educational tours available in 7 countries, with itineraries to explore throughout the year and beyond.

These tours offer the spirit of exploration that National Geographic is known for, and focus on rich experiences designed to satisfy travelers’ curiosity.

So National Geographic Expeditions has decided to partner with Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services in the cruise shore excursion business with this debut of National Geographic Day Tours, a collection of day and half-day itineraries initially to Mediterranean destinations in 2023, with a future global expansion.

“Exciting new experiences await our travelers through this exciting partnership with Intercruises,” said Nancy Schumacher, senior vice president, National Geographic Expeditions. “National Geographic Day Tours is just another way we are expanding our storytelling and travel opportunities around the world, and we look forward to the new tours our travelers will soon experience.

In fact, the tours are designed to offer captivating experiences inspired by National Geographic’s incredible legacy of exploration and understanding of the world. The main topics will focus on conservation, culture and history and follow the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) criteria.

Two strong brands work together to deliver unique experiences. We are proud to partner with National Geographic Expeditions,” says Virginia Quintairos, Intercruises Business Development Director. “The trend is clear: cruise guests are looking for authentic experiences with a strong, educational story to tell and these tours meet and exceed those expectations.

The highlights of these 48 tours will include the following destinations: Marseille, Rome, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Funchal, Tenerife, Arrecife, Dubrovnik, Naples, Corfu, Kusadasi, Athens, Mykonos, Rhodes and Santorini. Some examples among the new tours will be:
