RWCruises: Resorts World One Debuts in Dubai
With its maiden voyage from Cruise Terminal 2 at Port Rashid in Dubai, Resorts World Cruises’ Resorts World One marked the start of a new era of cruising in the Gulf. The event, which took place on November 1, 2024, signaled the beginning of three weekly cruises to exclusive destinations in the region.
The proposed itinerary offers experiences for every type of traveler: from the two-night Sir Bani Yas Weekend Cruise, to the two-night Doha Cruise, and the three-night Muscat-Khasab Cruise. Guests also have the option to combine multiple cruises for a longer vacation. As a special launch promotion, those who book a departure in November will receive free onboard credit, making these cruises an even more attractive opportunity.
Resorts World One
A ceremony was held on board to celebrate the ship’s debut, with around 600 invited guests, including regional dignitaries, media representatives, and prominent personalities. The event featured live performances, guided tours of the ship, and exclusive presentations, offering guests a preview of the unique experiences awaiting them on board.
Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises, emphasized that the maiden voyage marks a pivotal moment for the company. He expressed his sincere gratitude to local and regional governments, authorities, tourism industry partners, and guests for their valuable support. With Resorts World One, the company aims to offer unforgettable experiences in the Gulf region and added that there is no better way to begin than with a special Diwali celebration on board.

Saud Hareb Almheiri, Head of Cruise and Maritime Tourism at the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), also expressed enthusiasm, highlighting that Dubai is proud to welcome Resorts World Cruises and serve as the home port for its new services. He added that this launch further strengthens Dubai’s position as a hub of excellence for cruise tourism.
