Scenic Cruises celebrates its first anniversary
Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours: the first anniversary of the inaugural cruise of the Scenic Eclipse, baptized in September 2019 with godmother Helen Mirren.
In eight months of activity, given the block caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the luxury yacht visited 4 continents and more than 20 countries with its 228 passengers at maximum capacity on board. Here are the other numbers supplied by the cruise company: 290 helicopter flights, more than 200 submarine immersions in the Scenic Eclipse’s very own submarine, the Scenic Neptune, capable of reaching a depth of up to 1000 feet, and 500 Discovery explorations using kayaks and Zodiac boats in the Antarctic.
To celebrate its first year in business, Scenic USA is offering guests free flights and special promotions on some of the Antarctic, Transatlantic and Artic itineraries.
Ann Chamberlin, Scenic Group’s VP of Sales USA, explained: “We had a first season that was truly incredible with the Scenic Eclipse, thanks mostly to the vast range of services including the exploration itineraries, the helicopter excursions and the submarine immersions. These opportunities for our guests, together with many others, have truly established a new point of reference in ultra-luxury travel and, obviously, they are extremely appreciated by our clients. We can’t wait to go back to welcoming our guests on board while continuing to develop our luxury cruise products, with the intention of making the Scenic Eclipse’s second season even more exclusive for our guests.”
By the first half of 2021 the Scenic Eclipse should be flanked by a second twin unit that will widen the itinerary choices and double the number of clients in the maritime section of the Scenic Cruises company.
