Seabourn Venture delivered: the Seabourn expedition

The Mariotti shipyard in Genoa hosted the handover ceremony for Seabourn Venture, Seabourn Cruise Line‘s first luxury segment expedition ship.

It was a special day for the company, not only coming into possession of a new vessel, but marking its entry into the expedition cruise business. Josh Liebowitz, president of Seabourn, said he was thrilled to see the shipyard’s accomplishments and Adam Tihany’s design, and expressed his desire to see the ship reach the Arctic and Antarctic itineraries for which it is intended sooner rather than later.

The combination of a luxury product such as Seabourn’s with the excitement of expedition cruises creates a whole new style for the company and beyond. Built during the difficult pandemic period, Seabourn Venture will be a concentration of new technologies and thanks to the Polar PC6 class will be able to sail extreme routes offering unique excursions to lucky guests. An average of more than 25 experts including guides, experts and scientists will be on board, helping to turn cruises into true voyages of discovery and knowledge.

On board, 132 suites, all with sea views, represent the ideal comfort that will characterize Seabourn Venture cruises, with elegant common areas, amenities and numerous dining options.

Planning for Seabourn Venture’s first itineraries is already available, and we await the start of its cruise operations with great interest.
