Seabourn Venture: maiden voyage in April 2022
Seabourn Cruise Line has announced a new date for the much-anticipated maiden cruise of the Seabourn Venture, a luxury ship built for expedition itineraries.
The future ultra-luxury flagship of the U.S. company Seabourn Cruise Line will set sail from Greenwich on April 10, 2022, embarking on her first voyages of discovery to unique places off the beaten track.

Disruptions on ongoing work at the Mariotti shipyards in Italy, as well as difficulties in sourcing materials due to the pandemic, have caused an extension of the ship’s expected delivery time.
“We had the opportunity to tour Seabourn Venture at the T. Mariotti shipyard and were amazed by the design and beauty of the ship,” said Josh Leibowitz, president of Seabourn. “The ship will now be launched in time for the inaugural summer season at the North Pole in 2022.”
Cruises had been planned for the period from December 2021 to the following April, which were postponed due to the inevitable delay. Next August 19, sales will open for the new schedule beginning with the inaugural voyage.

Seabourn Venture, as well as its sister ship under construction at the same Mariotti shipyard, is a ship designed and built for polar itineraries according to PC6 Polar Class standards and will include state-of-the-art hardware and technology. Each of the two new units will carry two submarines, 24 Zodiacs, kayaks and a 26-person team of expedition experts.
