Silver Dawn: the tenth ship of the Silversea fleet

Silver Dawn, the tenth ship in Silversea Cruises’ fleet, was delivered today at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard in a small-scale ceremony.

After the projection of the videos of the coin and flag change ceremonies, Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO of Silversea, officially signed the handover of Silver Dawn.

Silver Dawn is the third ship to join Silversea‘s fleet since the beginning of 2020. “With the stunning Silver Dawn, the tenth ship in our fleet, we have reached a huge milestone in our mission to bring our guests into the world of luxury,” this is what CEO Roberto Martinoli said.

“Silver Dawn represents an evolution of luxury cruising. It builds on the innovations of its sister ships, Silver Moon and Silver Muse, with Otium, our new wellness program. With Silver Dawn, we reaffirm our position as the leader in ultra-luxury cruising. I look forward to welcoming our guests aboard beginning in spring 2022.”

Luigi Matarazzo, General Manager of Fincantieri’s Merchant Vessel Division, commented, “Despite the pandemic, we managed to keep all deliveries on track with the contracted dates. That’s why I’m particularly pleased to celebrate the delivery of Silver Dawn, which comes only a few months after that of her sister ship Silver Moon.”

Silver Dawn accommodates just 596 guests in 298 ocean view suites and has a crew to guest ratio of 1:1.45. The new flagship introduces the new wellness program, Otium, which is inspired by the lifestyle of the ancient Romans. In Roman culture, in fact, Otium was a period of time devoted to leisure, in which people bathed, conversed, sang, theorized, drank, ate and relaxed.
