Celebrity Ascent: a new onboard entertainment program

Celebrity Cruises has announced the rich onboard entertainment program of its new ship, Celebrity Ascent, offering something for everyone with an eclectic mix of nightlife experiences on the Resort Deck, six new live productions, interactive gaming experiences, spectacular live performances throughout the ship’s venues, and more.

The stars of the show will be various artists from around the world, creating a truly unique collection of shows, activities, and experiences never seen before. Just like its award-winning sister ship, Celebrity Beyond, named the best cruise ship for entertainment in 2023 by USA Today’s 10Best, Celebrity Cruises has brought together creative visionaries who have worked on major productions from Las Vegas to London’s West End and for some of the world’s biggest companies.

The new Signature Resort Deck Party is a fresh concept for a nightlife experience, where the ship’s Resort Deck transforms into a radiant stage with high-energy live performances, a light show, and a DJ creating a pulsating dance floor. It’s called Ascent After Dark: Shine the Night, where all guests are invited to flaunt their best metallic attire to enjoy this outdoor party under the moon and stars.
Celebrity Cruises new entertainment lineup on Celebrity Ascent
New theater shows that exceed expectations will be a highlight, featuring new and incredible technological effects that blur the line between digital and reality on the stage. Celebrity Ascent’s theater will be seen and used like never before! The new shows include:
– Awaken – a contemporary and technological spectacle,
– Residency – celebrating artists like Elvis, Lady Gaga, Cher, U2, and Bruno Mars,
– Bridges – a celebration of the human connection against the backdrop of some of the world’s most iconic bridges, from London to Venice, New York, San Francisco, and Sydney.
Immersive Performances and Live Shows
Entertainment goes well beyond the main theater stage, with engaging and intimate performances throughout the ship. At Eden, Ascent’s three-story architectural masterpiece located at the back of the ship, guests can enjoy stimulating shows with stunning acrobatics, incredible vocals, and world-class choreography with Allure, a journey in search of the world’s beauty; Shimmerbox, guiding rhythms from the ’70s to the present day, and Dreams, inviting guests to enjoy the night with live performances and interactive games.

New Entertainment Experiences
Celebrity Ascent will also offer new high-end entertainment experiences like: Game On – with augmented multiplayer retro ’80s-style gaming, Guilty Pleasures party is the ultimate sing-along extravaganza, a new tabletop escape game, Sands of Time, where guests work together, and Sketch Art Classes for everyone, from beginners to experienced artists.
Live Music Onboard
Jazz at The Club is the most famous program in the Edge Series, where musicians perform the best of jazz music. During Funkified, all guests can enjoy the evolution of funk music; Discoteque will revive the best of the Disco era in an energetic party.
Return of the Edge Series
Celebrity Ascent will also feature the renowned Edge Series onboard programming, including nightlife experiences like ’80s Flashback at the Club, Silent Disco, Tune to Table Live Band Karaoke, Ritmo Latin party, ABBA sing-along party, and Bingo. Pickleball at Sea, with free outdoor courts with panoramic ocean views, Pub Games Night, Spectacular Charlender light shows in the Grand Plaza, and Camp at Sea, with over 500 activities for children.

Onboard Celebrity Ascent
Starting this winter, Celebrity Ascent will sail in the Caribbean, and in the summer, it will cruise in Europe. You can book a Preview Sailing for 4 nights in the Western Caribbean departing on November 22, 2023, or a Bahamas getaway on November 26, 2023. The holiday departure will be on December 3, 2023, with a Caribbean cruise.
You can also celebrate the holidays onboard during the 7-night cruise to the Bahamas, Mexico, and Grand Cayman departing on December 24, 2023, or ring in the new year with the 7-night cruise to San Juan, Tortola, and St. Kitts departing on December 31, 2023.
