Explora Journeys: partnership with Steinway & Sons
Explora Journeys, a luxury cruise line, has announced its partnership with Steinway & Sons, the world’s finest handcrafted grand piano company.
Just yesterday, at a joint event at Steinway Hall in New York, the company announced that “A Celebratory Journey” will begin on October 3, 2023. As guests travel from Québec to New York, four celebrated Steinway artists will join the cruise and bring to life world-class live musical performances. The voyage will culminate in New York, the home of Steinway & Sons with a morning VIP tour of the legendary workshops, just outside Manhattan, allowing guests to admire the exceptional craftsmanship that has given the Steinway piano its unique richness and color for more than a century.

Played by the world’s greatest pianists since 1853, we will then have the pleasure of hearing the best virtuosity with live performances during Explora I‘s maiden voyage to Northern Europe and the Arctic Circle in summer 2023.

Three high-resolution Steinway Spirio pianos will be placed aboard each of the Explora Journeys ships. In addition to hearing artists perform live, guests will also be able to enjoy recitals by pianists from the world’s greatest concert halls. Two luxury brands and a special partnership thus offer the opportunity to enjoy acclaimed and emerging pianists who will captivate guests with their music related to the regions through which the ship will sail.
