Silver Nova: details of public areas
Silversea Cruises has revealed details about the public areas of Silver Nova, which will launch in August 2023, including the largest range of bars, lounges and restaurants of any ultra-luxury cruise ship.
The 728-passenger Silver Nova will have 10 bars and lounges, eight restaurants, and a number of additional areas, presenting a completely new design based on asymmetrical patterns and a propensity for horizontality that conveys a sense of breadth and continuity between different areas on entire decks.
In addition to including Silversea‘s classic environments with revamped designs, Silver Nova will introduce new public areas. Silver Nova‘s environments include:
DOLCE VITA LOUNGE
Dolce Vita Lounge, located on deck five with a capacity for 120 guests, will be the heart of Silver Nova. Dolce Vita will provide an elegant environment from morning until late evening, welcoming guests for leisurely drinks and enrichment activities, before transforming into a piano bar for the evening. A feature bar will rise in the center, enhanced by a performance area and seating.
VENETIAN LOUNGE
The Venetian Lounge, the home of Silver Nova‘s entertainment offerings, will have a capacity of 370 guests and will be located on decks 4 and 5, with a lower level of 550 m2 and an upper level of 190 m2. Enriched by state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, including a large HD screen; cabaret style seating with small tables and balconies for a more intimate experience, it will host live theatrical and musical performances, film screenings and events, as well as informative lectures and seminars throughout the day.
THE SHELTER
The Shelter, new to Silversea, will be a sophisticated evening bar for pre-dinner aperitifs and post-dinner cocktails. Located on Deck 3, it can accommodate only 32 guests in a chic 131m2 setting with elegant interiors featuring neutral colors accompanied by soothing lighting. The Shelter‘s striking bar will include a curved bottle display with modern and innovative lighting.
THE CONNOISSEUR’S CORNER
Silver Nova‘s Connoisseur’s Corner, located on Deck 5, will have a new layout with a 35-person capacity, featuring a larger, more modern interior space with floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious outdoor area. With comfortable Chesterfield chairs, the Connoisseur’s Corner will have the exclusive feel of a private club and offer guests a selection of premium cigars and spirits.
THE OBSERVATION LOUNGE
The Observation Lounge, located on Deck 10, will provide a vantage point from above Silver Nova, offering guests 270-degree panoramic views with soothing colors inspired by the sea. Enlarged to 256.5 m2, the venue will accommodate up to 115 guests, offering a welcoming space from morning until late at night. The lounge will also house Silver Nova‘s library, offering travelers an intimate space in which to relax with a good book.
THE PANORAMA LOUNGE
Silver Nova‘s Panorama Lounge, located on Deck 5, will feature a new layout compared to Silversea’s Muse-class ships, as well as a new design and new shades of color. A relaxing place by day and lively bar by night, it will accommodate up to 190 guests spanning 547m2, while a 221m2 outdoor space will allow guests to enjoy 270° views of the destination from the stern of the ship.
S.A.L.T. BAR
The S.A.L.T. Bar, relocated to Deck 10, will have a prime location. Enriched with a larger bar area, as well as beautiful views of the outside through large windows and an outdoor area, it will have a capacity for 42 guests and an area of 170.8 m2. The S.A.L.T. Bar will serve regionally inspired drinks in a warm and elegant interior with dark furnishings and comfortable armchairs for an intimate atmosphere.
S.A.L.T. LAB.
The S.A.L.T. Lab, also on Deck 10, will be greatly enhanced aboard Silver Nova with a fresh layout, enlarged to approximately 112.4 m2 and usable for up to 28 guests. It will allow guests to learn more about each region visited through food and drink, offering the opportunity to process local ingredients under the guidance of local experts and Silver Nova’s S.A.L.T. Host. The S.A.L.T. Lab, maintaining the bright and modern design, will include cooking stations and a larger, redesigned central workspace where guests can sit to watch demonstrations.
OTIUM SPA
The 338m2 Otium Spa will have a different location than on Silver Dawn; it will be located on Deck 5 with a more spacious interior. It will incorporate an indoor pool; spa, with 8 treatment rooms and a quiet relaxation area; fitness center; and beauty salon. The spa area will be larger than ever, with a steam room; sauna; and pool, complete with travertine fountain and large windows. Lighting and natural stones, including red marble, will create an elegant and relaxing environment.
EIGHT RESTAURANTS UPGRADED
Silver Nova will offer a wide choice of eight top-quality restaurants, from spacious and open venues to intimate eateries serving a wide range of high quality dishes. Decks 3, 4, and 5 will be home to La Terrazza, Atlantis, S.A.L.T. Kitchen, La Dame, Silver Note, and Kaiseki restaurants, while Deck 10 will feature the open-air options, Spaccanapoli and the Grill.
Silver Nova‘s Arts Café will accommodate up to 70 guests, while environments also include an atrium spanning three decks, a casino and a boutique on two decks; as well as two outdoor bars, the Pool Bar and the Dusk Bar, on Deck 10.
The future flagship will have 364 spacious suites in 13 categories, the largest number ever in the fleet, including a new generation of premium suites located aft of the ship.
In addition to the new design with its asymmetrical structure and horizontal layout, Silver Nova is poised to become the world’s first low-emission cruise ship with advanced hybrid technology using fuel cells, emitting zero local emissions while in port, introducing unprecedented sustainability features and thus revolutionizing the concept of ultra-luxury cruise travel.
