Silver Nova: the Otium program evolves

Silversea‘s luxury cruise brand, Otium wellness program, has evolved aboard Silver Nova, the latest ship in the fleet, offering an even wider range of experiences and services.

The program, which has already enjoyed great success aboard Silver Dawn in 2022, is based on the philosophy and traditions of the ancient Roman lifestyle and is designed to provide guests with tailored wellness experiences.

Otium is just one of the many enhancements aboard Silver Nova, pushing the boundaries in ultra-luxury travel and representing the evolution of our fleet.”

The improvements to Silversea‘s Otium program aboard Silver Nova include:

OTIVM SUITES

The 123m2 Otium Suites, part of one of the seven new suite categories introduced aboard Silver Nova, represent the most spacious accommodations on the ship, providing the ultimate suite experience at the premium corner aft location. They feature large windows offering 270-degree views, 40m2 balconies with a private hot tub, custom luxury mattresses, two large flat-screen TVs, Bluetooth-enabled audio systems, espresso machines, and five works of art inspired by Ancient Rome to enhance the sense of relaxation. Guests staying in Silver Nova‘s Otium Suites can also enjoy a complimentary spa treatment valued at up to $399 per person, based on double occupancy.

A COMPLETELY NEW SUITE EXPERIENCE: OTIUM SHOWER EXPERIENCE

In addition to the classic Otium sleep experience with the finest linens and a choice of pillows, the Otium bathing experience, including a range of custom bath salts, gourmet delights, and a curated playlist, the first-ever sea-view balcony experience, suitable for both warm and cold weather, and the Otium comfort food experience, featuring a selection of snacks, guests will also enjoy a brand-new shower experience that allows them to savor the aromas of essential oils. Guests can choose from three fragrances:

– Deep Sleep with notes of lavender, pink geranium, and black pepper to help relax and prepare for a deep sleep.
– Mood Boost, an energizing and invigorating option that stimulates the senses, with notes of lemon, peppermint, pink grapefruit, bergamot, rosemary, lavender, and lemon verbena.
– Turkish Bath, a purifying and relaxing option designed for any time of day, with notes of eucalyptus, rosemary, pine, and black pepper.

NEW OTIUM SERVICES

Silver Nova introduces a new collection of rechargeable bathroom amenities to highlight the brand’s commitment to caring for the planet while pampering guests. Developed in collaboration with La Bottega, a hospitality curator working with master perfumers to create bespoke fragrances and products, these luxurious amenities have been exclusively designed for Silversea to provide guests with a relaxing olfactory journey while minimizing waste, using rechargeable ceramic dispensers. The products are made with natural ingredients, and the formulas have been enriched with meticulously selected essential oils. They are suitable for vegans, free from SLES, parabens, and silicones. The fragrances, inspired by the Mediterranean, include orange, lemon, bergamot, grapefruit, patchouli, amber, and more.

A NEW ROMAN-INSPIRED OTIUM SPA DESIGN

Onboard Silver Nova, the Otium Spa has been relocated to the front of the ship. The 338m² space features a covered relaxation pool, an elegantly decorated spa with eight treatment rooms, including two complete Otium treatment rooms with sensory showers and treatment beds, and a tranquil relaxation area, fitness center, and beauty salon. Inspired by the design of Ancient Roman baths, the Otium Spa presents an open and welcoming atmosphere, where guests’ wellness journeys flow seamlessly between different areas. The thermal area is larger than ever and includes steam and sauna rooms, a covered pool, a travertine wall with a water fountain, and a window with panoramic views. The lighting choices and materials reflect the concept of a Roman bath and have been selected to further enhance guests’ sensory experiences. The Otium treatment menu offers a wide selection to cater to all preferences using the finest ingredients.
