Silversea: Silver Nova’s exclusive restaurants

Silversea Cruises has unveiled eight exclusive restaurants for its new Silver Nova ship, offering guests unprecedented variety. From spacious settings with outdoor seating to more intimate dining options, the Silver Nova‘s wide range of restaurants will be serving a selection of cuisines throughout the day, from international to specialty dishes.

Diners will benefit from a greater sense of space and stronger connections to the destination, as each restaurant will incorporate completely new design features facilitated by Silver Nova‘s innovative asymmetrical design, a first for the leading ultra-luxury cruise line. Silver Nova is expected to be launched in 2023 as the first cruise ship to be free of local emissions while docked, paving the way for the future of luxurious and sustainable cruise voyages.

“Characteristic of the Silver Nova, that will push the boundaries of cruising, is the dining experience on board our new ship that will represent the latest iteration of Silversea‘s unique luxury,” Barbara Muckermann, Chief Commercial Officer of Silversea Cruises, said. “Each of Silver Nova’s restaurants will benefit from innovative design solutions that will bring the destination into view like never before. Food and beverage have long been at the heart of the cruise experience for our guests; with Silver Nova, we are enhancing Silversea‘s signature dining experiences, which are among the best at sea.”

With both formal and informal options, decks three, four and five will host Silver Nova‘s indoor restaurants, while The Marquee on deck 10 will host its two outdoor dining options, Spaccanapoli and The Grill. Silver Nova‘s eight restaurants will include:

La Terrazza, the largest of Silver Nova‘s restaurants with a capacity of 340 people and 359 square metres, will include indoor and outdoor spaces on deck four, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with outdoor seating. Reinvented with a brand new aesthetic incorporating a vibrant colour palette, La Terrazza will offer one of the most immersive destination experiences on board Silver Nova, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the horizon and an expansive terrace accommodating up to 90 diners. The venue will feature a large buffet area during the day, while decorative glass screens will close off the space during dinner.

Atlantide, at 546 square metres, will be the most spacious of the Silver Nova’s restaurants, accommodating 270 guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner on deck three. A new layout and enriched design will enhance the dining experience for guests, but the restaurant’s iconic warm tones will retain its distinctive aesthetic. Modern architectural details and materials will elevate the luxury of the space, with fluted glass, metal finishes and natural stone floors accentuating the design. Atlantis’ sophisticated illumination will include an elegant chandelier.

S.A.L.T. Kitchen, launched on board Silver Moon, has become the first large-scale regional restaurant at sea. On board the Silver Nova, it will have a new look and feel on deck three, with a capacity of 160 people and an area of 315 square metres, capable of accommodating larger groups for a more social experience. High ceilings and large windows will create a sense of openness. Works of art reflecting the world’s richest culinary traditions will adorn the restaurant’s interior. True to its concept, S.A.L.T. Kitchen will offer a menu inspired by each destination, from the Terrain menu, which adapts to the stopover, to the Voyage menu, which encompasses the best recipes of each journey.

La Dame with 191 square metres, Silversea‘s signature French restaurant, will accommodate 70 guests in an elegant and formal setting on deck four. Structural design details will enhance the guest experience, from the open entrance to the high ceilings and large windows, which will offer sweeping views of the destination from every seat in the restaurant. Creative ceiling lighting will highlight La Dame‘s contrasting colour palette of light and dark tones, while handmade Lalique crystal panels, including the bespoke Masque de Femme design, and a Hirondelles crystal chandelier will welcome guests upon arrival.

Silver Note, inspired by 1920s jazz clubs, will welcome up to 54 guests for dinner each night, with the venue benefiting from a new design and layout. Perfect for an inspiring meal or an after-dinner cocktail, the intimate setting on deck five will use a dark colour palette with gold metal and velvet accents. Feature lighting installations on the ceiling and a wrap-around wall will draw attention to a central stage, which will house a piano for live musical performances. Silver Note‘s elegant bar will also be enhanced on board the Silver Nova, with a fresh design and plenty of seating for guests.

The 86-square-metre Kaiseki will serve the finest Asian cuisine in a minimalist Japanese-inspired ambience on deck four, accommodating 40 guests in a relaxed setting and expanding the Silver Nova‘s international dining offerings. A new series of modern design elements will enrich the space, from the restaurant’s entrance, which will act as a symbolic gateway to Japan, to its decoration, which will incorporate washi paper, marble and traditional wooden materials. Elegant lighting will create a cosy and inviting atmosphere for optimal intimacy. While serving mainly Japanese dishes, Kaiseki will also offer guests the opportunity to sample excellent Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, Korean and Chinese cuisine from an a-la-carte menu.

The Marquee (The Grill & Spaccanapoli) located on deck 10, is a new food and beverage venue with far-reaching views, occupying 477 square metres towards the stern of the ship on the port side. The open-air dining room will accommodate up to 220 guests, including The Grill and Spaccanapoli, two of Silversea‘s signature venues. Due to its proximity to the pool, The Marquee will welcome guests in a relaxed atmosphere, while serving casual meals during the day and offering dining under the stars at night.

In addition to eight restaurants, Silver Nova will accommodate up to 70 guests in the lively Arts Café, a cosy space in which to enjoy snacks and refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere. Located in the centre of the ship, the Arts Café will benefit from ample natural light thanks to a glazed atrium.

As is customary on Silversea’s ships, the travellers will also be able to enjoy complimentary in-suite meals 24 hours a day, enhanced by the Otium menu, which will include snacks based on the most luxurious ingredients, from lobster and caviar with brioche sandwiches to a wide range of gourmet popcorn.

The Silver Nova will be one of the most spacious cruise ships ever built, and will offer one of the most customised services at sea with a crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1.3, as well as butler services for all suites. With its hybrid power sources, Silver Nova is expected to achieve a cruise industry first: emission-free local operations in port using fuel cells and batteries.
