Silversea: The new Otium program

Silversea Cruises, the leading luxury cruise line, unveils a pioneering new wellness program, Otium, to be launched on the new Silver Dawn ship, which will welcome guests from spring 2022.

Otium is unlike any other wellness program; it aligns perfectly with our brand positioning and will weave an unprecedented tapestry of comfort around our guests. It will revolve around instant gratification, extending the luxurious pampering Silversea is known for to different areas of the ship, from guest suites to the redesigned spa area and beyond. Otium will transform the way guests relax and enjoy their personal space. It will be an elevation of our already high levels of comfort.”

Otium will offer guests a personalized, multi-dimensional wellness journey throughout Silver Dawn. The result is an elevation of Silversea‘s unique interpretation of luxury, where the refined details of the cruise experience have been enhanced for guests’ enjoyment.

Silversea presented the following experiences as key pillars of Otium:

The Otium sleep experience

Each of Silversea‘s guests sleep in the finest Egyptian cotton linens; aboard Silver Dawn, guests in each suite category will also benefit from a special Otium-inspired mattress; the cruise line’s usual pillow menu will expand to include customizable feather and down blends, memory foam, hard down and enhanced alternatives.

The Otium bathroom experience

Each suite category on Silver Dawn will offer guests the use of both a walk-in shower and a bathtub, in some of the most spacious bathrooms at sea where guests can indulge in a multi-sensory bath for complete relaxation. Enjoying soft Otium robes, exclusive bath salts and relaxing candlelight, guests will bathe in bliss. They’ll unwind with the playlist of their choice from a curated music menu, while savoring a range of delicacies, including caviar canapés, chocolate truffles and champagne, among other luxurious amenities.

The experience of the balcony Otium

On some of the most spacious balconies at sea, guests can customize their experiences to suit the climate-if cruising in cold-water regions, Silversea has curated a pampering experience with a warm cashmere blanket, a selection of delicious hors d’oeuvres and the first hot chocolate menu at sea. When sunbathing in warmer climates, guests can stay cool with luxurious sunscreens, delicious cocktails and gourmet snacks.

The Otium Comfort Food experience

Silversea‘s culinary offerings are already among the most luxurious at sea; with Otium they get even better! Perhaps the most enriching aspect of the program is the addition of an in-suite comfort food menu, available 24 hours a day, designed to enhance guests’ movie nights, pre-dinner cocktails and other entertaining moments. The signature dishes on Otium‘s comfort food menu will range from lobster and caviar in brioche buns to a selection of gourmet popcorn and other options incorporating the cruise line’s premium ingredients.

The Otium Spa experience

The spa at Silver Dawn will be redesigned with Otium in mind, offering guests a highly selective treatment menu designed by wellness experts for optimal relaxation. In addition to enjoying soothing massages and an array of other treatments, guests will be able to relax and socialize in the spa’s spa areas with a glass of champagne or exclusive snacks, enhanced with exclusive ingredients from caviar to truffles. Rejuvenating treatments in the salon will complete Otium’s sensual spa experience, at the heart of which is fun, indulgence and instant gratification.
