Description

The second advanced ship of the Holland America Line Zuiderdam prototype, Nieuw Amsterdam stands out mainly from the latter for having half deck passenger cabins on the bow and an immense structure facing the funnel where new specialty restaurants are located.
Her hotel arrangement is modeled after New York (Nieuw Amsterdam in Dutch): with the subsequent remodel, several rooms have been updated. Following the removal of the disco, this ship has become a product more dedicated to people of a certain age who love the style of cruises from the past.

Great itinerary, average ship

Nieuw Amsterdam is a beutiful Holland America ship. Where we have cruised it's an incredible and beutiful landscape. Unfortunately we experienced some troubles with our staterooms and the staff was not so efficient sto solve our problems. I however hope to come back onboard an Hal ship and compare the service with other cruises.

A great cruise experienced in the Caribbean. 7 days spent between wonderful islands and a perfect service onboard. Staff is kind and helpful, food is also great and the entertainment rich and delightful. I definitely love HAL.
