Description
The National Geographic Sea Lion was built in 1982 as the Great Rivers Explorer for the American shipping company Exploration Holidays. It has been sailing for Lindblad Expeditions since 1988, first as the Sea Lion, and then as of 2008 as the National Geographic Sea Lion.
The ship can accommodate 62 passengers in 31 exterior cabins and is used mainly in Alaska, Baja California and on the northwestern coast of the United States and Canada. Its shallow draft allows it to sail through internal passages, small bays and navigate on narrow canals.
