In 1996, Murray River Paddlesteamers began its first cruises along the Murray River. In March 2015, the company was acquired by brothers Craig and Rohan Burgess. The company continues to grow and expand on solid foundations, as recognized in July 2016 with gold at the Regional Tourism Awards and silver at the prestigious VTIC, Victorian Tourism Awards again in 2018.
