The third ship in the “Statendam” class is characterized by its small size that permits it to reach destinations that are prohibited to larger ships. Today it sails with the colors of P&O Cruises Australia under the name Pacific Aria. With its transfer to the Australian market it underwent a very extensive refit that removed the original Holland America décor style from its interior. At the moment of its entry into service it boasted 80% external facing cabins (including those with a balcony), a very high number in that era.

We really appreciated Pacific Aria!
We lived 10 years in Australia and we cruised a lot with the P&O Australia cruise line. Really enjoyed the Pacific Aria, with confortable staterooms, nice restaurants and good service.
