Costa Firenze: an all-Italian beauty

Costa Firenze, a recent addition to the Costa Cruises fleet represents a tribute to the Renaissance and brings Italian style and the search for beauty to the sea, recalling Florentine environments and a taste for art.

Conceived for the Asian market, it is a sister ship of the Costa Venezia, inspired by another beautiful Italian city which with its charm and history is the common thread of all the onboard enviornments, where entertainment and fun, but also relaxation and wellness, follow one another in a series of different beautiful spaces. The Red Theater is divided between decks 4 and 5, with constant new shows at the renowned level offered by Costa Cruises. The Dea Bendata Casino is also large, offering gaming and leisure opportunities particularly appreciated by Asian clients.

On the Costa Firenze there are 13 bars, from the Fashion Lounge to the Viareggio Lounge. They all have Tuscan names and furnishings: Bella Bar, Tuscany Lounge, Versilia Pool Bar, Bar del Conte, Gelateria Dolce Vita. One will never be bored, through trying the various specialties on board and enjoying a different atmosphere every evening.

The hub of life on board and the meeting place par excellence is the Piazza della Signoria, where a large circular bar is located with a standing traditional Florentine lily. It is ideal for an aperitizer or a digestive when leaving the restaurant, but serves also as a stage from which to enjoy the journey or take photos.

There is rich on-board catering, also with 13 options available. In addition to the main restaurants Palazzo Vecchio and Ristorante Dei Medici, there are 4 specialty restaurants: the Teppanyaki, the Frutti di Mare seafood restaurant, the Casanova Steakhouse and the Asian Lu Hot Pot. The buffet restaurant is the Versilia, located on the namesake lido bridge. Snacks and little sins of gluttony are available at Lanai BBQ Bar, Burgher Bar, Dim Sum. Other gourmet stops include the Pizzeria Napoli and the Seafood Shack.

The Beauty Spa and Beauty Gym are the onboard places of wellbeing, with large areas for spa treatments and thermal cures, as well as state-of-the-art equipment in the beautiful and spacious gym with free access. The indoor pool allows you to enjoy a beautiful space even in bad weather or during colder seasons.

There is no shortage of areas dedicated to shopping and they also offer the best of Made in Italy with products and brands known all over the world. Even just walking through these lively areas will enrich the onboard experience and allow you to enjoy the attention to detail and reference to the Renaissance that is repeated throughout the shops.

Costa Firenze offers many possibilities to enjoy outdoor spaces as well. The Rope Garden Adventure Park suspended over the sea, the Laguna Water Park, the Minigolf, and a sports field are just some of the main attractions that can be enjoyed by children through to adults. Sunbeds and solarium zones are distributed in various areas around the external decks, especially beautiful is that of the Rose Garden, where the Aperol Spritz Bar with rocking chairs on the balcony are an ideal place for an apertizer overlooking the sunset.

There are many types of cabins and suites on board, with accommodations for all budgets and even for larger families. Here too we find Renaissance-style furnishings, with warm colors and references to Tuscan cities. Costa Firenze represents not only the beauty and charm of Made in Italy, but the project is particularly attentive to sustainability and environmental protection, so much so that it received the Green Star 3 from Rina.
