Seabourn Encore was built by Fincantieri for Seabourn, taking up the basis of the previous classes’ project but increasing the maximum number of passengers on board, and upgrading the tonnage to 40350 tons. Encore has an extra bridge compared to the Odissey class ships and some common areas have been expanded.

The small size, 600 passengers, and the relation with the number of crew members, 330, are evidence of the importance given to customer satisfaction. The spaces, cared for by Adam D. Tihany, present modern elegance, bereaved of extravagance, with soft colors and care for detail. Symbol of the ship is the spiral staircase that unites the various bridges in an interweaving of lights and shadows.

On Encore, the Seabourn Square is the most visited and liveliest area. At the Coffee Bar you will find coffee and sweet and savory snacks at all hours, to be consumed accompanied by reading the newspaper or a good book taken from the beautiful bookstores. You can contact customer service, choose your next cruise or go shopping in the inviting shops that surround you. The Observation Bar, located at the bow of bridge 11, is also very welcoming; you can sip a drink, have a chat or read comfortably enjoying the 180 ° panorama that surrounds you.

The shows are staged at the Grand Salon, in the stern area of ​​bridge 6. The Club, at deck 5, is the dance hall, or even a late-night disco. For players, the small and elegant Casino has both tables and slots and it’s located at the entrance of The Club.

The Spa at Seabourn is the onboard wellness area. It offers various services and treatments in an area included on two bridges on the stern of the ship. Over 1000 square meters available, in relation to the overall size of the ship, make this area quite large. The Thermal Suite and the Kneipp “Walk in the Water” Experience are just some of the special features offered. The gym, in addition to modern equipment, offers Yoga, Pilates and Personal Training classes.

All cabins on board of the Seabourn Encore are suites and have private balconies, although there are various categories and price ranges. Of the 300 available on board, 7 have access for the disabled. The company has not provided single suites. The WinterGarden and the Signature are real apartments on the sea, respectively of 86 and 81 square meters. But even the “normal” Verandahs, with their 28 square meters, are larger and more comfortable than average.

The outdoor areas offer two small pools, one in the center of the ship and the other on the aft. The one in the central area, located at bridge 9, is the largest and there you can find the Patio Grill and the Sky Bar. The aft swimming pool is instead located at bridge 5: it is a secluded and welcoming corner of relaxation.

Even more fascinating is the sun area with Jacuzzi located at the bow, at bridge 7, the ideal place to admire the navigation and enjoy arrivals or departures from the ports. Finally, at deck 12, the Sun Terrace is located at the bow and, in the center of the ship you can find the exclusive Reatret area. For an extra fee also for the categories of the superior suites, the latter offers alcoves with couches and TVs, sunbeds, a private bar, a large central Jacuzzi and a fully-equipped staff at your service. Finally, The Marina is a stern area available for undertaking water sports and excursions during the harbor stops.

Seabourn Encore‘s gastronomic offer is superb. Already at the buffet restaurant, The Colonnade, the quality, variety and presentation of the dishes is truly excellent. The dishes can be tasted in the internal area, elegantly laid out, or in the adjoining outdoor terrace. The restaurant offers open-sitting in an elegant and, at the same time, informal context. Reservation is required to dine at the Grill by Thomas Keller: an American-style steakhouse with a selection of seafood, all accompanied by a wine cellar full of prestigious labels. Here you can also sit outside by the terrace available at deck 8. The Patio Grill offers a more informal choice by the pool, also open in the evening for al fresco dining.

The care for detail, the service level, the gastronomy, make Seabourn a cruiseline to try. Seabourn Encore looks like a large yacht but offers the comfort and the advantages of a large modern ship.
