The origins of Seabourn, a luxury company, can be traced back to 1987 when Norwegian investors founded the Signet Cruise Line. Soon renamed Seabourn, the small company started its activity with the first two mega-yachts, Seabourn Pride and Seabourn Spirit. Carnival Corporation has been close to the company since 1991, buying 25% of its property, extended to 50% in 1996. Between 1998 and 1999 Carnival purchased Seabourn and Cunard completely, transferring the smaller units from the second to the first brand.
Today Seabourn is synonymous with luxury cruises, with unique service to passengers, refined cuisine and unique itineraries around the world, from the most famous Caribbean weeks to cruises of over 100 days.
