Van Loon Cruises

Van Loon Cruises, originally founded as Van Loon Shipping around 1987, grew into a successful company with six inland tankers in the water. Over time, however, co-founders Arjan van Loon and Willeke Sturris fell in love with sailing on the water and decided to share this passion with others, giving rise to Van Loon Cruises. The goal was to offer people a different way to explore and to create a river cruiser that reflected a new way of doing things—a complete, ultra-modern vessel with a sporty look that would inspire people to embark on an adventure. Thus, The Gentleman was launched: a luxury ship with a sporty appearance, similar to that of a yacht.
